Steve Howell, Planetary Science Institute, Arizona points out that AK Cnc is a suspected TOAD (Tremendous Outburst Amplitude Dwarf nova) and that follow-up photometric (and spectroscopic) observations are encouraged. The following table depicts the course of the present outburst, which might be a superoutburst : 1995 03 07.892 UT, [14.5 (G. Poyner, UK, 0.40-m refl., seq: TA); 03 08.813 UT, 13.8 (L. Szentasko, Hungary, 0.33-m refl.); 03 09.001 UT, 12.8 (B. Worraker, UK, 0.26-m refl., seq: TA); 03 09.021 UT, 12.8 (B. Worraker); 03 09.038 UT, 12.7 (B. Worraker); 03 09.060 UT, 12.8 (B. Worraker); 03 09.082 UT, 12.8 (B. Worraker); 03 09.811 UT, 13.2: (J. Pietz, Germany, 0.20-m SCT); 03 09.876 UT, 13.2 (P. Schmeer, Germany, 0.20-m SCT, seq: AAVSO); 03 09.914 UT, 13.2 (J. Pietz); The previous outburst of AK Cnc was detected by Bill Worraker, UK on April 8th, 1994. The object reached magnitude 14.3 during the outburst. Tonny Vanmunster
