Eric Broens, Mol, Belgium has confirmed the event. Observations are as follows : 1995 05 19.868 UT, [13.5 (P. Schmeer, 0.20-m SCT); 05 19.931 UT, [14.7 (T. Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl., seq: AAVSO); 05 20.950 UT, 13.6 (P. Schmeer, 0.20-m SCT); 05 20.951 UT, 14.1 (T. Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl., seq: AAVSO); 05 20.974 UT, 13.8 (E. Broens, 0.35-m refl., seq: AAVSO); It's interesting to note that the previous outburst of this dwarf nova was observed as recently as March 18, 1995 (detected by Lasse Jensen, Denmark). It's only the second time in the history of this dwarf nova that two successive outbursts are separated by only 2 months. The first case was in 1989 (separation 66 days), as recorded in our "Outburst Activity Database on Selected Cataclysmic Variables (*)". (*) This database shortly will become available on Internet, as part of a paper to be published jointly by Steve Howell, Astrophysics Group, Planetary Science Institute and the undersigned. AK Cnc [13p - <17p] =================== Laszlo Szentasko, Veresegyhaz, Hungary reports an outburst of this dwarf nova, which is on the "Recurrent Objects Programme" of The Astronomer Group, UK. No confirmative observations have been received yet. The previous outburst of AK Cnc was reported on March 8th, 1995 by L. Szentasko and B. Worraker, Didcot, UK. Available observations : 1995 05 03.840 UT, 14.0 (L. Szentasko, 0.33-cm refl.); 05 05.824 UT, 15.4 (L. Szentasko); V795 Cyg [UGSS, 13.4p - <17.9:p] ================================ The photometric summary below concludes the monitoring of the current outburst of V795 Cyg. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DATE (UT) MAGN MS SEQ OBSERVER REMARKS SOURCE ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1995 05 01.022 [15.4 mv TA Poyner, G. 40-cm refl. priv(POY) 1995 05 02.05 [14.6 mv TA Jensen, L. 33-cm refl. priv(JEN) 1995 05 02.09 [13.5 mv AA Schmeer, P. 20-cm SCT priv(SCH) 1995 05 02.944 13.5 mv TA Vanmunster, T. 35-cm refl.
