A visual inspection of the resulting light curve does not show superhumps, although an analysis using the Phase Dispersion Minimi- zation (PDM) method of R.F. Stellingwerf yields a weak signal with a period of 0.057 +/- 0.001 d, which might very well be attributed to the superhump. We applied standard data reduction techniques (dark frame and flat field correction, as well as removal of a linear trend of decline). The object is declining rapidly from its 'outburst', so we strongly encourage follow-up observations. FX Cep [UGSS?, 15.0p - 17.5p] ============================= In response to the FX Cep outburst announcement in CVC 148, Jochen Pietz, Germany remarks that he observed another outburst of this CVAP object about one month ago, which was brighter than the current one (reaching mag. 14.7 on JD 2450666.463). The object was also seen on the next two nights, but then became fainter than mag 15.0. J. Pietz further adds : "Remember that AB Dra reveals a similar short outburst cycle (10 days) and the existence of long (and slightly brighter) outbursts and is classified as ZCAM star." Additional observations of the present outburst : 1997 Aug 30.92 UT, [15.4 (T. Kinnunen, Finland, visual); Aug 31.90 UT, 15.1 (T. Kinnunen); Sep 01.86 UT, 15.4 (T. Kinnunen); Sep 02.854 UT, 15.6 (T.
